Save the date!! Saturday August 3rd is the date for the Indy British Motor Day. It is being held in Zionsville Lion's Club Park. Join us for breakfast at the Zionville Farmer's Market. We'll all head there after we have stagged our cars in the park at 8:30 a.m. There will be a car show and your MINI/Mini is welcome to enter. Pre-Register by July 20th: $20 per car. Day of show: $25. If we have 4 MINIs pre-registered by July 20th at the link included here, we will have our own voting class. Please post your interest in participation on our MINI Car Club of Indiana Facebook page or in the MINICCI forum. You can follow this link for more details: www.ibcu.org/ibmd_flyer.pdf

We are hoping for that too. There are 3 board members who have expressed their interest in participating, so with your car, we might be set. Please follow the details for pre-registering by date posted above.
Thank you.

I'm not sure how "show-able" a 12 countryman is but if others are going to show their "MINI's" or in our case a real big "MINI" then we will try to make arrangements. Should be able to make plans in time for the preregistration. Again just wanted to confirm that others were planning on showing post '01 examples, was not sure how many club members had classic's.

If we bring two, one will be a classic and one a 13.

Like the '12 Countryman (iubootgater), mine is an '09 Clubman and not a classic, but we will definitely be there. This is a nice event. We've attended for the last several years and love the Zionsville venue (with restaurants, shops, shade trees, lots of nice cars, etc.) Tours of the Bentley dealership are also a nice feature for registered participants. Come one, come all! Would love to see lots of MINI/Mini's there!

For those who are interested in entering a car in the show the pre registration is due by the 20th and should be mailed by the 15th.
For those who want to just come out and check out the great British cars in the show it is free to attend.

Still not sure if Stephanie will be able to get day off but I am dropping the preregistration and check in mail today. I may be solo but you got one more MINI for the show.

Please excuse my ignorance but its been many years since i spent any time at a car show. How involved is everyone getting in the prep of their cars? I was going to wash and wax of course but how "detailed" should I be? Are they going to be looking under hoods, ect? Not looking for a check list just a idea, you good folks are the experts so i would gladly except any suggestions. Cant wait, been months since we have made it to a gathering.

There will be those who go all out, but some who don't even open the bonnet. Personally it will wash it well and do some on site touch up, not sure if the bonnet will be up or down.
