Hello from Btown, just wondering how many other All4's are in the area, have seen "Conner" about town and met owners on NAM but that's it. I see allot of mini's around Bloomington and just wondered how many were on this forum? Plan on making meeting at Shapiro's in Feb. and taking care of club due's then, looking forward to meeting some other mini enthusiasts!

I recently moved to Bloomington with my wife (Elizabeth), daughter (Penelope) and dog (BoB). I live on the east side of town near Brusters, which is a horrible place to live if you are on a diet. I have a 2013 Red with black top Countryman JCW. It has a bright orange ball with a bulldog on the antenna. I have seen a white ALL4 roaming Bloomington and a S Model Countryman around also. You might also see me more often in the summer on my lime green Kawasaki Ninja (gas prices) so wave when you see either!
FYI - We drove out towards the Spencer and Whitehall area this past weekend to get a lawn mower from Craigslist. State Road 45 and 48 are quite fun. Head west out of Bloomington on 45 then take 48 out into the country for some up and down and then twisting roads!

Welcome jsmith6 and fam. to the Bloomington area! Ours is the White with black trim All4 S. My suggestion for good mini and bike roads is take 45 out to brown county and take 46 back home, you live in the perfect spot for the best roads in Monroe county. PM me anytime, I have lived here long enough to know allot of good roads and am always open to find more.

IUBootgater....I've been on that road before, quite fun. One of the nice things about Southern Indiana is the hills. Coming from Oklahoma, where once you got outside of the Wichita Mountains, it was flat as can be this is a nice change. I don't have my Countryman out often (motorcycle + gas prices = riding the bike to work). I have seen yours around town and my wife or I usually points it out. I have noticed a fair number (all so far) of the MINI owners in Bloomington do not waive when they see another MINI....what gives?

Its is my opinion that the vast majority of Bloomington MINI's belong to people who are not enthusiasts and have not bothered with the sub-culture of the brand, just people who did not want a Subaru. Rest assured that if anyone in a MINI waves at us we will wave back.

Drove from Bloomington to Nashville to Camp Lakeview/Columbus to Edinburgh and back to Bloomington....not one wave. Seems even the motorcyclers in this town don't waive at each other either.

jsmith6... don't loose faith in Bloomington yet. This has always been a melting pot town, lots of college students from near and far as well as locals that don't care much for the University crowd. Just keep on waving... That's what MINI drivers and 2 wheel riders do, one of these times it will be us and you will get a big old wave. By the way dieing to see this red/black JCW!
