I have the convenient package. At first, I noticed the convenience got really sensitive... to the point that I have to use the remote to lock/unlock car and have to insert the remote to the key slot to start the car. Then, the lock/unlock function got really sensitive. So I'm thinking maybe the battery is needing to be replaced. I see that the remote key battery is very easily accessed. Can I simply replace the battery? Would that screw up any type of programming that's in the remote key and the convenience? Thanks!

Just replace the battery. Your settings should stay in place for that fob.

Just curious, how old is the car/fob?

Just curious, how old is the car/fob? The batteries are only replaceable on cars with the Comfort Access system or Convenience Package installed if you are wondering about yours.
