Once again this year we are driving to the National Maple Syrup Festival in Medora, Indiana on Sunday, March 6. We will meet at Dye's Walk Country Club in Greenwood for Brunch Buffet at 9:45 AM on the 6th. The buffet opens at 10:00 AM and we hope to be on the road by 10:45 AM. Our host, Brian Benham has offered us the Family Dining Room for the morning and also has extended a 10% discount off the normal $12.95 cost. I will post a recent menu later. Dye's Walk Country Club is on State Road 135 about 1.5 miles south of Smith Valley Road in Greenwood. There is road construction on SR 135. As you go south on 135 the entrance is just past the clubhouse on the right. The entrance to the restaurant is on the west side of the building at the drop off area. We will take the back roads to Medora, IN and the Festival where we will spend 2 to 3 hours. We park in Medora and take shuttle busses to the Festival site.
Shuttle Bracelets & Admission
The festival hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
The buses will run their route from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Admission into Medora Community School is FREE! Live Bluegrass music all day!
If you would like to attend the 2011 NMSF Outdoor Program or visit Burton Maplewood Farm, you will need to purchase a shuttle bracelet.
Shuttle Bracelet Information:
Children 4 yrs old and under: Free!
Youth (5 to 15 yrs old): $6.00
Adults (16 - 64 yrs old): $10.00
Seniors (65+): $8.00
Donate (1) canned good for a $2.00 discount off of (1) shuttle bracelet. All donated food will be given to area food pantries.
We plan to leave Medora about 3:00 PM and drive to the Chateau de Pique Winery near Seymour. After that we will make our way back to I-65 and travel back to Indianapolis. I anticipate we should be back in Greenwood by 5:00 PM. I am including internet links to the Festival and Chateau de Pique Winery. Let me know if I have left anything out. We do need to have people RSVP so we can get a head count for Dye's Walk.
If you can't make the entire day, join us for the Brunch.

There are some nice twisty roads. We had nearly 20 cars last year and hope to have more this time.
