With the purchase of my new MINI last week my husband who is a clean car freak would like to know what is best to use on the black trim to keep it looking like it does now. He says some cleaners can turn the trim whitish and we want to be able to clean and keep it looking new.

I have used a product from Griots that is specifically for plastic that works well. Can not think of the name, but check their web site out and you should be able to find it.

I use the Griot's Vinyl & Rubber Dressing. It's the same stuff I use on the tire sidewalls. Looks great.

Black Wow is good stuff. If and when you wax the MINI, use painters tape to tape off the black trim. I always get annoyed when I hit the trim with wax and leaves white residue that is hard to get out.

If you use Lucas auto Polish. It will not turn the black trim white. I use it and the Lucas auto detailer all the time. You cqn even wax the windows with it. It is GREAT!!!! Have fun with your new MINI!! I love mine. BKMini
