So I'm driving home from work today, looking down at the steering wheel, and realize that the steering wheel isn't centered to the center of the driver's seat.
It would appear that the steering wheel is about 1.5 inches off-center to the driver's seat, to the left.
Interesting....

Seems to me that would make it easier to hold the wheel with your left hand while shifting with the right. I bet the British version has the wheel slightly to the right.

Agreed. The feel is very natural for driving with my left hand, and shifting with my right....
Just interesting that it took me several weeks to notice it. I've never noticed this in my Ford trucks in the past...

Maybe the MINI is designed better than a Ford truck.

Tom was just looking at that today and it didn't look like our is off any. Of course both of ours are R53s.
