As most of you know, I have been treasurer for over 2 years. I took over the position when the old treasurer sold his car. I am willing to take the position for another 2 years if you will have me. Wanda

I'm still undecided about what to do... History-wise I have served on the board for the past two years first as Webmaster, then I took over as Events Coordinator.
My goal this year was to get events scheduled far enough in in advance to allow people to get them on their calendars. Unfortunately, when the calendar for this year was first posted gasoline was not over $4 a gallon, so some things are being adjusted accordingly.
If I were to continue as Events Coordinator my idea is to really emphasize the "coordinator" part of the title and get more members involved in planning and organizing events. I started that this year (thank you to all the members who have stepped up and planned something) and I think it has worked fairly well. My other point would be to bring the number of events down so that instead of a drive or rally every month we would have fewer events (thinking about gas prices) but make each event really special and unique. I tried to make sure that events were planned out for the entire year so that whoever took over could really be thinking about 2009 and not start off being in charge of an event days after the election.
As for Monthly Gatherings they would continue and would be hosted (as we are trying to do) by members... if you want a gathering in your area... please feel free to host it. We would try to get them spread out, but if no one wants to host one near to you- I would much rather have two gatherings in same location than not have a gathering.
That's what I'm thinking for the future... if you want something different please feel free to run for Events Coordinator. Like I said when I started, I haven't decided yet if I will run- but thought I should at least let you know that I do have some ideas if I were to remain on the board.

Bruce, I would like to see you run for events coordinator again. This has been one of the most organized years I can remember. I agree that the position iis there to help members plan or organize outings that they have come up with. Its not your job to completely plan and make all arrangements to keep us entertained for the whole year. I think a lot of members stepped up this year with ideas and plans.
But, again I must say you have done a great job this year, even if some of us whine a little, ok a lot.
So please consider running again.

Goodevening all Minicci members!
As most of you know I have been the Membership Benefits Coodinator for the past year. I am willing to remain as the coordinator for another term. I hope to implement a logo to place on polo shirts, sweatshirts, and other items for next year. It has been started for 2008, but has not been finalized. I am hoping to order coffee mugs, pens, frizbee's and other items to help raise money for the club. I am always open for suggestions, should I remain on the board for 2009.
Thank you for a great 2008. I had a wonderful time serving all of you.

As I stated in post #2 on this thread I was up in the air as to whether or not I would resume as events coordinator. At this time I have decided to take a step back so- while I never threw my hat in the ring... I am officially announcing that my hat will stay on my head (and protect my nose from getting too sunburned) and I will not be pursuing another term as events coordinator. We had our ups and downs this year and I can only thank all those people who supported me in the various events- too many to name. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions about what the job entails. I'm not disappearing from the club (heck, Mrs. Zoom's MINI hasn't even been delivered yet) but I will be taking a little break.
Hope to see everyone at the gathering on Monday & the Track on Tuesday... Hope you all have fun at the circus on Saturday the 19th and are planning on joining us on the 25th for the MTTS drive to the Windy City.
