On my way home tonight I saw a Porsche with track tires on it's roof. I asked him where he was running and he told me Putnam park. He told me about MotorsportReg.com.
Does anyone know anything about it? From what I could gather it was a registration web site for track days and events. I looked at the list of clubs that are registered with it and I see the local BMW chapter is but there aren't any MINI chapters.
Anyone have any interest in listing MINICCI, would this be of any benefit to the club? Just fishing for info/interest.

They are the site where you pay for the track days that those groups have organized. It allows them to get their money all from one source making it easier to know who signed up and get the funds.
If you are a member of those clubs or sometimes they invite the MINI Club you can sign up there.
Track time is way too expensive for a small club like ours to afford. Occasionally the Porsche Club or the Lotus club will invite us to help bring in more people to help cover the cost.

That site also is where most of the regional and national SCCA stuff is posted. I would recommend looking into attending a local SCCA event, its a good way to get a feel for what your MINI really can do

For years (even when I was on the board) I have heard the we are a small club and can't afford it- I never really looked into it, but know of a number of clubs in the south who actually have track days... even if it's buying in on another group has anyone on the board looked at what it would take? besides just posting it is really expensive... I'd rather have a track day or some track training than a Christmas party.

We have gone in with other clubs in the past. We've gone with the BMW club, the Lotus club and the Porsche club. It does bring down the cost of a track day to about $350 to $400 which is a lot better than doing it by ourselves. We never had mor than four or five cars come out and most times less.
