Hey all,
I went to Grattan last weekend for a vintage race event and got to get some track time during their lunch break, aka touring class.
Man what a great track! There are so many off camber turns and blind corners that require you to really know what you are doing to go fast. I was able to open it up a bit and let the turbo loose. It was the first time I was able to really let it go and see what the ClubmanS could do.
I was very impressed with how well it handled and the torque out of the corners felt sweet.
I know there has been talk of doing some autocross, what about track time. Are there any opportunities to get some dedicated track time and even some driver instruction.
I have some racing experience but guidance is always good. Especially since I'm not use to driving aggressively with a FWD car.

Putnam Park is a fantastic place to go.

The local BMW club has had track events at Putnum Park and invited MINI before, you might want to check that out.

You can also do the Phil Wicks driving schools. The BMW club has one or two events each year at Putnam Park that has instruction.
Those are just two of many that are out there if you can find them.
