Anyone want to help with a new scoop install or does anyone have a good HOWTO. I have heard the tabs are tricky and can break easily so I want to make sure I know what I'm doing or have someone work with me on it.
I am also wondering about putting on a heat shield to help protect the scoop and my sport stripes from overcooking.
Cheers!

Yeah, I'm planning on being there. What do you all think about the heat shield, worth it? I was thinking of seeing if D&R had one and just putting it on myself. Has anyone had issues with scoops warping or sport stripes wearing out?
What kind of tools are needed for the scoop swap?

If your car is 07 or newer, you just need a Phillips screwdriver.
I have seen a heat shield from Mini that mounts under the scoop. There are others available that are metal plates that mount over the turbo or there is a turbo wrap from WMW.

Thanks to Mark my MA who took me out and showed me how it was done. Simple swap now that I know how it's done. Thanks all for the info.
Now after being at D&R today and testing the Countryman, I WANT ONE!
