Hello All!! My name is Christa and I just moved back to Indiana from California after being gone for 20 years! I own a 2004 MCS, Pepper White (Pepper/PigPen), that is unfortunately still in CA. I had an accident on 8/16/2007 and they guy who hit me tore off her front end. I am in litigation at the present time, yes 1.5 yrs later. But I am waiting for the day when I can order a 2009 JCW/MCS Horizon Blue with Black Bonnet stripes! I am a member of SoCal Mini Maniacs, was the Secretary for MOALA (Mini Owners of America, LA chapter), member of SSOCMCC, and NAM. I am also a frequent troller of www.coopernation.net website that my friend Max runs, and other various car sites. I am a former Nissan nut.., My car that I just sold in CA before I came back was my show car - a 1990 300ZXTT that was dyno'd at 428 hp at the rear wheel, PearlGlow Yellow with Black leather Interior. I have owned 7 Nissan's, 1 Mini, and my current car is a 2003 Acura TL-S (DON'T LAUGH). I am only driving this Acura (yes, I know it's 4 feet longer than a Mini) until my settlement and then I get my MINI!! My co-pilots are my sister Amy, nephew's Christian & Kyeem, and one big blue Australian Shep - Anderson!! Oh, did I mention that I'm a chick?!! ;D Wanna see pic's? picasaweb.google.com/Zchickaz/MiniAlbumCarShowPics#Awesome photos!

Hello Everybody!
This is my first post so I figured this would be a good place for that.
I'm Jason, 25 from Fort Wayne, and I just picked up my first Mini last friday. She is 2009 Dark Silver Mini Cooper S named "Winnie Cooper" (a la The Wonder Years). I've been needing a new car for while so I saved my money and got what I really wanted. I drove a '92 Ford Ranger "Teal Mobile" for the past few years and a '94 Grand Am GT before that.
I've lived in Indiana my entire life and currently work as a Commercial Producer in Fort Wayne at a TV Station. My application to join CCI is currently in the mail and look forward to meeting everybody.
I'm into movies, poker, and driving. What I know about cars mechanically can be written on the head of a pin, but I love to drive.
Hopefully I can get away for a gathering this month. Hope to see everyone soon.
P.S. The Bourne Identity is what prompted me to test drive the MINI a year ago when I started looking for a new car. It was the first car I have ever test driven and the only car that brought a smile to my face.
If you have any tips or tricks about maintenance or care for the MINI please let me know!

Jason, welcome to the MINI community. We know just how you feel about your MINI and how fun it is to drive.
When you get down to one of our events or gatherings I am sure you will find plenty of suggestions on the care and feeding of Winnie.

I'm Professor Zoom... My first MINI was purchased about 3 years ago and is a DS/W MCS. His name is Penfold and has been a faithful sidekick for over 60,000 miles. My hobbies include comic book collecting, geocaching, and digital photography. Oh, and I do like Mini Coopers.

Hi my name is Bob, I bought my first Mini in Novembr of 2008. It is a 2009 Night Fire Red. I love it. I was amazed @ how well it got around in the snow and ice this past winter. It was alot of fun. I am new, but am very excited to get to know some of you folk, for some good info on the mini's. I live is the town of Roachdale, about 36 mils west of Indy. We have another Mini in town as well. I met the owner last week, and was very knowledgable on the car. I have not named it yet but probably will somethine soon. My daughter Melissa and i enjoy camping and running our golfcarts in the wood in the campground we are in. I just got my golfcart painted the came color as the Mini. I have to get my stripes on it and then i will post it on the website. take care and happy motoring Bob

Always glad to get a new member and meet another happy MINI owner. Please feel free to come join us at one of our monthly gatherings, drives or events.
On the front page of our site minicci.org there is a button marked join now. That will take you to a page where you can print out the application. Then all you have to do is fill it out and mail it with your check to the address on the application. It will then be processed by our highly efficient membership team who will then send you your card and t-shirt.

Hello! I'm Jim Purchasing (not signed papers yet) a 2008 MCS from my father in law. He had my wife and I build it for him in august and then offered it to me about a month ago as a great deal. I actually got to drive it off the lot the day it came in and then drove it to and from our wedding a few weeks later. I like the car a lot. I'm coming from a Mercedes-Benz C230k and have always been a MB driver but this is quite a hoot and from reading and going over NAM it seems like a lot of fun... mods and the events. I'm looking forward to some southern Indiana hill's and bends :-) I'll also be going to the track day tomorrow around 5 if anyone wants to meet there. I live in Broadripple and am from Plainfield where I still work, in Insurance.

Can anyone tell me how to put a photo of my mini in my profile??? It needs to be a picture you have online, like on Photobucket or Flickr. There is a place where you modify your profile that has a place to use a URL. Most photo hosting sites have a spot that shows you the URL for that picture. Copy the URL address and then go to your profile and paste it in. It took me a few tries before I was able to get to work. If you can't get it send me a PM or email and I can see if I can get it on there for you. Can
