I plan on making it. We've got a late night job on Friday, but unless we're still running into the late morning, I'll be there.

Here is a web link to the National Maple Syrup Festival. Please check it out. www.nationalmaplesyrupfestival.com/Linda and I drove the route last weekend and met with Tim and Angie Burton. We will leave the Road Ranger truck stop and I-65 and Greenwood Road at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 14. The route takes us thru Whiteland and south to Indiana State Road 44, then west to Indiana State Road 135. From there we will go south on SR 135 to Nashville and have a rest stop. From Nashville we will continue south on SR 135 to Brownstown and stop for lunch at Brocks Family Restaurant. There will be some food available at the festival but we think most people would like a better selection for lunch. It should take a little over two hours for get there. After lunch we will take US 50 west to Indiana State Road 235 and then to Burton's Maplewood Farm near Medora for the festival. It is about 15 miles from Brownstown. The admission is $8 for adults but if you bring a canned food item the admission is $4. Remember to bring canned food for the food drive. There should be ample gravel parking but the festival is in a rustic area. Dress warmly and wear shoes that you can hike in. The distances are not great but be prepared. The festival also supports the Heads UP!!! Foundation and the Riley Hospital for Children's "Camp about Face" at Bradford Wood in the summer. We will plan to stay at the festival until about 3:30 PM. From there we will take US 50 east toward Bedford and then north across Lake Monroe to Bloomington. We will skirt the east side of Bloomington to Indiana State Road 45 and head east for a stop at Butler Winery. From the winery we will drive along the south shore of Lake Lemon back to SR 45 and then east to SR135. From there we will head back to Greenwood and should arrive about 6:00 PM. I will have maps and turn by turn directions for all drivers when we leave. Although it won't officially be part of the drive I am suggesting a new ARNIE's Restaurant on SR 135 south of Stop 11 Road for those who want to stop for dinner. Thanks to those of you who have responded. Anyone who is planning to attend please post a response. I want to try to give the restaurant in Brownstown a reasonable head count by next Tuesday. Thanks and Happy Motoring. Larry and Linda Taylor "TOADCOOP"

I will be there with a co-pilot.....2 people, 1 MINI. We will need to forgo the Winery stop, though.....need to be home by 5-ish. Looking forward to a fun trip! EDIT: make that 3 people and 1 MINI. Looks like my co-pilot's teenage daughter will be coming along also. She's almost 16 and absolutely crazy about MINIs (and cars in general)...she won't be driving, though!

As previously posted Sue and I will attend, can't say we will follow the route home... we will most likely cache on the way home. See you then.

We are planning to attend and since this would be our very first time to attend an event such as this, we have a question, and that is: Since we live in Columbus we would prefer to either join the convoy when you take a rest stop at Nashville, or meet with you at the restaurant in Brownstown. Where would you be stopping and at approximately what time for the rest stop at Nashville? Thanks, Trekman72 P.S. We have a 2009 Sparkling Silver Mini with black bonnet stripes and black top.

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate and we will have a good group in attendance.
If you are planning on attending please post here or let Larry know if you have not done so already.
Looking forward to a good day of motoring. I need to test out the Mod Party changes on some fun roads.

Testing out your mod party changes tells me there's going to be some twisties!?! That would be my hope, and based on the understanding of the route that would be correct.
